Hydrogen Car

Hydrogen Car

Hydrogen Car is available from I Want One of Those

Voted ‘Best Invention of the Year’ 2006 for TIME magazine.

Science at its sleekest. A car that runs on water and solar power is every gadget-loving environmentalist’s dream. Designed by the clever chaps at Horizon, the Hydrogen Fuel Cell Car is the model toy of the future.

Billed as the smallest fuel cell car in the world, and nominated for the Intel Environment award in Silicon Valley’s Tech Museum, the HFCC ticks all the boxes for design, engineering and sheer greenness, and will save you having to do any unnecessary carbon trading. It comes as a kit, so it’s great for science-heads and model builders and anyone who likes to tinker.

Hydrogen is produced in the fuelling station from water in a matter of minutes, you then port it into the car, and off it trundles for up to a hundred feet! You can use batteries or the solar panels to charge the fuel cell, and power it up again and again. Not only was it voted ‘Most notable Product 2006′ by ID Magazine, it was also chosen as Best Invention of the Year 2006 by TIME Magazine. This beautifully designed model car is at the forefront of Science, and just goes to prove that the future’s already here.

Oh my god!! My life is complete, i now own a totally FANTASTIC black retro phone, I was SO excited when it turned up that I plugged it in and rang it from my mobile… oh, the heavenly retro sound of proper bell ringing noise, and then I dialled my mobile from it, and the memories came flooding back, using a proper dial and hearing that good old clicking noise as you dial… I was that chuffed with it that I sent a picture msg of it to all my friends and the response was amazing, every one of them loved it, thought it rocked and wanted to know where I got it from, of course it was the awesome IWOOT!!! Ibiza Ride Watch

December 7, 2006

Ibiza Ride

We’re all part of the grid (whether we’re called Neo or not), and as such we need to stay plugged in. We’ve absolutely no idea what that means, but nevertheless the Ibiza Ride Grid Watch is a very cool and techy time keeper – which may well help with the whole plugging in thing.

Following on from the amazing popularity of the Binary Watch, the Ibiza Ride is the next generation. It displays the time with a mighty 60 coloured LEDs, and can also show the date – well it shows you some illuminated LED’s and you then have to work out the date. We don’t mean to make it sound complicated, it actually uses a far easier time-telling system than the Binary Watch.

The left hand double column tells you what hour it is (or month when in date mode), and the other columns tell you the minutes (or days). The LED’s fire up with a simple press of the winder button (that isn’t a winder obviously), and stays lit for 5 seconds, and a helpful pile of LEDs in the bottom right hand corner of the face let you know if it’s a.m. or p.m. (in case you’re too out of it to work that out for yourself), and when your in ‘Date’ mode, which sounds rather more exciting than it is.

It’s hard to pinpoint exactly what the point of this watch is, except that it’s considerably more fun than a conventional watch to use, and it’s nice to know that virtually no-one will own a cooler one.

Duck Fader

December 7, 2006

Duck Fader

Duck Fader

A long time ago in a bath far, far away the Duck Side (or Dark Side in a Scottish accent) lurked, or possibly bobbed, though that doesn’t sound quite as threatening somehow.

Ominously glowing in the duck, sorry dark, Duck Fader is ‘eider’ the Evil Lord, or far more likely just a ludicrous glowing bath toy (he ‘muscovy’ something like that anyway)

Duck Fader Duck Fader

So next time you find yourself attracted to the bathside, make sure that you have Duck Fader to guide you. With his glowing eyes and ominous helmet he’s the epitome of an evil fowl, the icon of demonic duck lovers, the… that’s really quite enough of that. He bobs, he glows and he’s a complete hoot, or possibly honk.

Features

A bath toy from the dark side, Duck Fader.
Made of rubber.
Suitable for ages 3 years+.
Size: 11 x 8.5 x 7.5cm.
